Vydee Cholecalciferol 5MG / 200,000 IU

  • Vydee is the only vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) injection/oral solution with an easy to use twist-off-cap. At Hudson Pharma, we manufacture Vydee using the Blow-Fill-Seal technology, which is an advantaged filling process, as stated by the U.S. FDA.
  • Vydee is packed in LDPE (low-density polyethylene) plastic which is additive-free, odourless, stable thermoplastic with no chemical reactivity.
  • Each 1mL ampoule contains 5mg (200,000 IU) of Cholecalciferol. It is available in a pack of one easy to use medical-grade LDPE ampoule.
  • Vydee is for IM injection and oral usage only.

Indications

Prevention and treatment of vitamin D deficiency.

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to one of the constituents, especially to vitamin D.
  • Hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, calcium lithiasis.

Adverse Effects

  • Monitor calciuria and serum calcium.
  • In case of the high intake of calcium, a regular check of the calciuria is essential.

Dosage

AGE-RANGE DOSE
- In infants receiving milk, enriched with vitamin D 1/2 ampoule (i.e. 100,000 IU) every 6 months
-Nursed infants
-Infants who do not receive vitamin D enriched milk
-Young children up to 5 years of age		 1 ampoule (i.e. 200,000 IU) every 6 months
-Adolescents 1 ampoule (i.e. 200,000 IU) every 6 months
-Pregnant women 1/2 ampoule (i.e. 100,000 IU) in the 6th or 7th month of pregnancy
-Elderly 1/2 ampoule (i.e. 100,000 IU) every 3 months
-In children or adults with digestive pathology or undergoing anticonvulsant treatments 1/2 to 1 ampoule (i.e. 100,000 IU to 200,000 IU) every 3 months
-In children or adults other particular conditions not described above 1 ampoule (i.e. 200,000 IU) every 6 months
-Treatment of vitamin D deficiency (rickets, osteomalacia, neonatal hypocalcemia) 1 ampoule (i.e. 200,000 IU) possibly repeated once after 1 to 6 months
