Indications
Intolerance to oral iron therapy
Clinical need for a rapid iron supply
Iron deficiency anaemia in chronic kidney disease (CKD)
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the active substance
Adverse Effects
Diarrhoea
Nausea
Vomiting
Headache
Dizziness
Hypotension
Dosage
Adults: 5-10mL of Ferris (100-200mg iron)
1-3 times a week
Additional Information/ Precautions
Anaemia not caused by iron deficiency
Evidence of iron overload
Signs of hypotension
In first trimester of pregnancy
